In 2016, Chef Kevin Meehan reached the pinnacle of his illustrious 30-year culinary journey with the unveiling of Kali Restaurant. Nestled among Los Angeles' culinary elite, Meehan's expertise, honed in the city's most esteemed kitchens, shines at the Michelin-starred Kali. With a dedicated focus on procuring top-quality seasonal ingredients from California's fertile lands and supporting local farmers and ranchers, Meehan crafts what he proudly dubs contemporary Californian cuisine. His presence at the forefront of the Los Angeles culinary scene is a testament to his passion and dedication.

Originally from Long Island, New York, Meehan's culinary journey began at a young age in a local fried chicken joint. He pursued formal training at Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island, and further honed his skills through apprenticeships, including one at the Michelin-starred L'alban Chambon in Belgium.

In 2000, Meehan made the move to Los Angeles, where he became part of the esteemed L'Orangerie restaurant, working under the guidance of Chef Ludo Lefebvre. Transitioning through notable establishments such as Bastide and Patina, where he achieved acclaim, including a coveted Michelin Star, Meehan embarked on his personal culinary venture, Kali Dining, which ultimately transformed into the renowned Kali restaurant.

Outside of the culinary realm, Meehan cherishes moments with his family at their residence in Culver City, often hosting gatherings for friends. When away from the kitchen, you might spot him on the golf course or passionately cheering for his beloved soccer team, Chelsea.
