Chef Kevin Meehan, born and raised on Long Island, New York, moved to Los Angeles over 25 years ago and has since become one of the city’s most respected chefs. With more than 30 years of professional experience, he has cooked in some of Los Angeles most iconic fine-dining establishments, including Patina, Bastide, and L’Orangerie.
As Owner and Executive Chef of Kali, Meehan has led the restaurant to earn and maintain a Michelin star since 2019. For nearly a decade, Kali was celebrated for its seasonal tasting menus that highlighted California’s best produce from artisanal farmers. Recently, the restaurant has evolved into an upscale steakhouse, offering perfectly prepared steaks, ice-cold martinis, and a more approachable yet refined dining experience.
Chef Meehan is also a proud partner and major contributor on the CookUnity platform, bringing his signature dishes to diners across the greater Los Angeles area.
Outside the kitchen, he is a family man who enjoys life in Los Angeles with his wife and their twin daughters, sharing a love for great food, dining out, and traveling the world together.
